Despite being an old school blade, Z Achilles remains a contender in the SwitchStrike/God Layer arena. With its hefty weight and high inertia, it has the power to perform well in Attack Combinations. Using a Level Chip can be a big help in fixing some of the more minor niggling issues.
The Z Achilles has a lot to boast about, but there are a few things it can't do, such as break Banking Patterns. Hence, it is recommended to have multiple copes, and to be prepared to replace a lost click. It can also be said that it has more than a dozen gimmicks to boot.
The Z Achilles has two oversized sword-shaped blades, which are accompanied by smaller blades in the form of Cho-Z wings. The aforementioned ones are what you'd expect, as the center of the Z Achilles represents the Greek hero Achilles. The smallest one is the smallest of the three, albeit not a whole lot larger than the average burst stopper.
Unlike the aforementioned blade, the tiniest of the Cho-Z swoosh's gimmicks is its burst-stopping mechanism. In the anime, it uses a centrifugal force to activate a bistable mechanism at a high spin rate. The resulting system is impressive in its own right. It extends burst-stopping tabs which prevent the combination from burst-ing.
It isn't difficult to see why Takara Tomy's Z Achilles is considered a must have for any serious Blader. This is not only because of its awesome performance, but also because of the quality of its components. The design is heavy on the metal, which increases the strength of its components, and the overall weight of the Layer. This results in a more effective attack.
