
Founded by Bob Lutz and Henrik Fisker, VLF Automotive is a new luxury sports car company. Based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the team has worked on BMWs, Aston Martins, and Vipers.
VLF Automotive's first project is the Destino. It's a reworked version of the Fisker Karma, powered by a Corvette LS9 V8 engine. The retail price starts at $229,000.
In February, Henrik Fisker, founder of VLF Automotive, announced that he was merging his company with a blank-check company called Nikola Corp. The company is owned by Chinese auto parts maker Wanxiang Group.
The company is planning to build 50 examples of the machine. In the coming year, the company will appoint several dealers in North America and abroad. It hopes to have a full run of cars by the end of 2017.
The company has plans to add jobs at a dedicated manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, MI. The team will have seven North American dealers and several international partners.

The company has filed one patent. It has an automotive design and technology center in Los Angeles.
The team has more than 100 years of experience in the automotive industry. They have produced iconic cars, such as the Aston Martin DB9 and the V8 Vantage. They've also worked on the Dodge Viper and the Ford Mustang.
