Depending on your vantage point, the word traductor might bestow a subordinate status and a hefty price tag. If you're lucky enough to be in the biz, you are in luck. Getting a job as a translator or interpreter has its perks, not to mention the sex. It's no wonder that this industry is a billion dollar a year or so. The industry is also a tad bit more fun than the office cubicle. The aforementioned perks aside, the most enjoyable aspect is the camaraderie. The best part about being a translator is that you get to see the world's best and be seen in the process. The only drawback is that you might be missed in a crowd. Thankfully, a translation is also a social affair and the chance to rub elbows with famous people is a surefire way to build camaraderie and make the ye olde world feel more like home.
A translation is an arduous task, but not impossible. In the hands of a competent scribe, the aforementioned challenges can be swept under the rug.
