The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey

Currently, New Jersey is one of the leading healthcare states in the world. The state's alignment of healthcare institutions has led to the development of a thriving ecosystem that is brimming with top-notch physicians, insurance companies, hospitals and health information technology companies.

Among its members are some of the most prominent life sciences companies in the world. This makes New Jersey an ideal destination for cutting-edge research and for bringing breakthrough treatments to market. The state also boasts the largest concentration of life sciences companies in the world, with 11 of the Top 20 medical technology companies having headquarters in the state.

The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) is an organization that represents the interests of medical technology companies in the State. The Institute was founded in 2005 and is the only state-level nonprofit organization representing this industry. It also has an important role in helping to support the life sciences community.

HINJ recently presented Rutgers University with an award for Excellence in Research and Innovation. The Institute's work has been instrumental in developing a saliva test to identify COVID-19, a pandemic virus that is ravaging health care workers in the United States.

The Institute's leadership has been in opposition to the reintroduction of H.R. 3 ever since the proposal was first introduced. The HINJ has made this position clear, and its opposition has not wavered.

The Institute has also announced a new set of trustees and executive leaders. The organization has hired Allison Freeman as its Director of Communications, and its Steering Committee has also shifted. The new leadership will focus on providing more support for the life sciences community, promoting responsible ways to lower health care costs, and improving patient care.

Aside from its medical expertise, the Garden State has also invested heavily in technology and reputation enhancement. A new New Jersey Health Information Network, funded by the Department of Health, will enable electronic exchange of patient health information. The network will eventually connect to the national eHealth Exchange. It will also provide connectivity to state health databases.
