Rapper J Cole

Described as "the man", Jermaine Lamar Cole is a famous rapper from the South. He is a member of Jay Z's Roc Nation label, and he has been successful with his career. He has sold millions of records and has won multiple awards. He has received eight BET Hip Hop Awards. He has also won three Soul Train Music Awards and a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

In 2007, J. Cole released his debut mixtape, which was largely self-produced. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. This was the first of two mixtapes Cole released after signing to Roc Nation in 2009. The second one, The Come Up, was released in 2010.
