He also lent his voice to the demigod Maui in Disney's Moana (2016).

When he was a teenager, Dwayne Johnson was involved in some petty crimes. He also had trouble making friends. However, he became a standout athlete in high school. He was a member of the track and field team and won a scholarship. He went on to play college football for the University of Miami.

Dwayne Johnson has a father who is of Black Nova Scotian descent. He was a teammate of Doug Flutie in the Canadian Football League. When he was a youngster, Dwayne was teased about his father's profession. He says his high school football coach changed his life.

Dwayne Johnson attended Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The school competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference. He was a standout on the football team. He was also named to the high school all-American team.

Dwayne Johnson enrolled in the University of Miami. He earned a degree in criminology in 1995. He later played football for the Miami Hurricanes, which won the NCAA national championship in 1991. He also donated a million dollars to the university for the renovation of the football facility.

Dwayne Johnson has starred in four films in the Fast and the Furious franchise. His first big role as an actor was in the 2002 film, The Scorpion King. He was paid $5.5 million for his role.
